Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships

Peter Daniel has over 20 years of experience in management consulting and advisory services, including over a decade as a member of an ownership group and senior leadership team that built, grew, and sold a consulting firm ranked #1 in the world by ALM Global for partnership and joint venture advisory.  After the sale of Water Street Partners, which he joined in 2010, Peter transitioned to Ankura as a Senior Managing Director.

Across the last 15 years, he’s advised nearly 200 equity investments, partnerships, and joint ventures worldwide with over $50B in transaction value.  Working across the deal lifecycle, he advises on deal structuring, integration, and ongoing management and governance.  This experience has enabled him to build deep strategy, transaction, governance, and stakeholder alignment skills.

In healthcare, Peter works with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, health systems, payer-provider joint ventures, health information systems, PBMs, pharmaceutical sourcing companies, and medical device companies.  Peter is also a speaker at BCBS Association and other industry events.

Prior to Ankura and Water Street Partners, Peter was a product and sales leader at CEB (now Gartner), the world’s leading membership-based advisory services company. He helped to build and grow practices designed to improve the performance of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officers.

Peter graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a BS in International Politics and Economics. Studying in France for much of 2001 was good training for serving clients across five continents and over 20 countries.
