Mike’s experience includes more than two decades of driving operational excellence for middle market companies. This experience has been recently complemented with a Fortune 50 role that expanded capabilities to large / complex organizations. Experience has developed deep operational capabilities including:
- Building and developing highly skilled teams. Team development has been demonstrated in professional service organizations, PE portfolio companies and corporate roles. Achievements include not only attracting and retaining highly skilled teams, but driving a culture that aligns with the corporate strategy.
- Extensive work with private equity portfolio companies to drive operations to align with strategy. This work has included implementing operational improvements to impact profitability, acquisition and integration work to achieve growth goals and building out processes and tools to support organic growth goals.
- Experience using combination of technology and process improvement to drive innovation and operational improvements. Roles have included leading multi-functional teams across enterprise to deploy new technologies and processes to achieve operational goals.
- Substantial experience in "professionalization" of PE portfolio companies. This includes transition of finance and accounting functions, as well as operational reporting structure to ensure key goals can be properly measured and tracked.
